I hold a 5* licence with Wealden Council (No. LN/000026887), am fully insured and DBS checked. I am a Blue Cross Pet Bereavement Counsellor and trained in Canine First Aid with 9 years home boarding experience.
I am also an emergency welfare fosterer for JR Whippets and Kiki's Hope for Animals, a home-checker for various dog charities and very experienced in caring for rescues, nervous, elderly, disabled and blind dogs.
I really like to take the time to build a relationship with my customers, so I can fully understand the connection between themselves and their dog. How an owner talks about and interacts with their dog helps me gain an insight to the type of care they require from me. I also completely understand how worrying it can be leaving your dog with a relative stranger, so I aim to make the process as reassuring as I can.
I live in a bungalow, so it is ideal for breeds not used to stairs (ex racing Greyhounds) and less mobile, elderly dogs. It is a calm, quiet, low footfall home, which is the perfect setting for the older and more sensitive dogs. I take a maximum of 5 dogs at any one time, which includes my resident dog. This is usually only during busy holiday times, otherwise 1-2 dogs are taken, mainly now due to the age and health of my own dog Roxie. This is also to ensure your dog receives individual love, care and attention.
I love to interact with my dogs by playing enrichment games. These fun games help to build and strengthen our bond, which is vital for me as their interim carer. All dogs are walked with my own dog wherever possible; dependent on their individual needs.
I regularly hire local secure fields and enclosures, so all dogs are safe and can let off some steam if needed. I also walk them in our lovely surrounding countryside and often take them to the beach. I send frequent updates during your dog's stay for your peace of mind.
I have a resident dog called Roxie, who is 12. She is a crossbreed who is a rescue from Last Chance Animal Rescue in Edenbridge in Kent. She has a calm, sweet nature and is comfortable and happy in the company of other dogs. She is pictured above, with my Arthur Whippet, who came as a foster and never left, he sadly passed away in 2024. Please note that due to the age and health of my resident dog, I do not take puppies, young dogs, boisterous or "full on/busy" or working breeds.
If you work full time or have plans that require you to be out for the day, I offer a day care service where your dog stays with me in the comfort of my home together with my resident dog, which includes their usual exercise routine. You can drop them off in the morning and collect them in the evening, safe in the knowledge that they have been secure and content during their stay, with all their individual needs having been met.
Ideal if you are planning a holiday, business trip, a weekend away, or an overnight away. Whilst dog kennels may be suitable for some dogs, they can sometimes feel impersonal, busy and loud which can be stressful. Here, they can roam freely around the entire home and secure medium sized garden. I ensure they still have their home-from-home experience, whilst enjoying plenty of exercise, fuss, play time and quiet time.

24 hours
Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve & New Year's Day will be charged at double rate. Good Friday & Easter Monday are an additional £25 per night. All other Bank Holidays are charged at an additional £20 per night.
7 days notice is required for regular daycare. The full fee will be charged if less than the 7 days. Day Care is to be paid in full on the day.
14 days notice is required for boarding, unless during school term times; then 4 weeks notice is required. The 25% deposit will not be refunded if outside of these notification periods. Boarding balances are due in full 7 days before the stay.
All dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations, including Kennel Cough (which must have been given at least 10 days before a stay). Your dog must also be flea, tick and worm treated prior to their stay (evidence of all required). Please note I do not take any un-neutered dogs.
Please note I do not board unsociable, reactive or aggressive or dogs that are not fully house-trained. Any dog registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act (1991) are also not accepted. I do not take trained guard dogs, security/protection dogs or any working breeds.
I do not take dogs with a known bite history, that whine, bark or howl at night, or that are destructive if left for short periods.
Your dogs will be boarded with dogs from other households; therefore they must be dog friendly, and have no resource guarding issues. They must also be happy to sleep in my lounge with my resident dog at night times
Please note a scheduled brief "meet & greet" at my home will need to be arranged before I agree to take on any dog. If we all feel we are a good fit, we can then arrange a trial. Your booking can only be confirmed once a satisfactory trial has been completed. This is to ensure all parties are happy and your dog will be settled here with us.
I always require an over-night trial for all new boarding dogs and a day trial for day care. All trials are to be paid for by the customer, regardless of the outcome.
I can offer routine vet appointments during their stay at £20.00 per hour.
Day Care and boarding dogs must be delivered and collected at the mutually agreed times. Boarding is 24 hours and Day Care between 8am - 6pm, unless otherwise requested. Reasonable drop off & collection times can occasionally be arranged outside of these hours, with prior arrangement and for a fee.
All dogs must arrive with their own food to cover the entire stay. I can provide food (wet & dry) at a cost of £4 per serving. Whilst I cannot cater for specialised medical diets, I do however, only use high quality products.
All medications to be administered, must be in their original packaging, clearly showing dosage and vet instructions.
Your reservation is not confirmed until the trial has been successfully completed, your 25% deposit is paid (boarding only) & all required paperwork has been received fully completed and signed by both parties. Copy of your dog's vaccinations booklet is also required.
